FOURTH EDITION OF OUR MODULAR ESTHETIC WORKSHOPS. MODULE 1: WAX-UP TECHNIQUE IN THE ANTERIOR ZONE APPLIED TO CLINICAL PRACTICE

The first module of the fourth edition of modular esthetic workshops began today. Carlos Saavedra kicked off the day with 16 new dentists coming from all over Spain practicing wax-ups in the anterior zone. We incorporated new tricks and tips that will be useful in our daily practice when making composites or modifying our restorations.

Faces, planes, angle lines, depressions, ridges, and lobes determine the wonderful nature of human teeth. Throughout two days, students will continue working with wax and visualizing with plaster models and drawings to obtain a different viewpoint of teeth.

Learning in a different way, from the basics, from the beginning. In nature nothing is created by whim, everything has its intended end use. To understand this is to be able to improve esthetics without forgetting function.

All of this in a pleasant, calm and bright environment.

COMIENZA LA CUARTA EDICION DE LOS TALLERES MODULARES DE ESTETICA. MODULO 1: ENCERADO DEL SECTOR ANTERIOR APLICADO A CLINICA

Comienza hoy el primer módulo de la cuarta edición de los talleres modulares de estética. Carlos Saavedra hoy arranca con 16 nuevos dentistas venidos desde varias partes de España practicando encerado en el sector anterior. Incorporamos nuevos trucos y tips que nos serán válidos en nuestro día a día a la hora de hacer composites o modificar nuestras restauraciones.

Caras, planos, líneas ángulo, depresiones, crestas, lóbulos y depresiones determinan la maravillosa naturaleza de los dientes humanos. A lo largo de dos días los alumnos trabajarán con cera y visualizarán modelos de escayola y dibujos. Todo ello para obtener una visión distinta de los dientes

Aprender de una forma diferente, desde la base, desde el comienzo. En la naturaleza nada es por capricho, todo está concebido con un fin. Conocerlo es mejorar la estética sin olvidarnos de la función

Todo ello en un ambiente agradable, tranquilo y luminoso.

COMPOSITE WORKSHOPS MODULE 2. DIRECT AND INDIRECT POSTERIOR RESTORATIONS

LOn March 3^rd and 4^th, we taught the second module of the first edition of composites. The objectives of the course were: to obtain an exhaustive, up-to-date knowledge of adhesives nowadays, commenting on the current status of the philosophy of self-etching adhesives and cements, to practice the techniques of absolute isolation with rubber dam, to teach our philosophy and protocol for direct restorations and explain step-by-step how to perform incrustations with composites using semi-direct and indirect techniques

One of the main problems we currently have in our consultations is related to contact points. Matrices and wedges are imperfect tools that create proximal anatomies that are not realistic. In this course we present different solutions, tricks and tips to help solve these drawbacks.

In the hands-on workshop we taught students how to create a silicone model to carry out indirect techniques. At D91 we follow a protocol with materials that allow us to create reliable models that do not have practically any pores so we can work safely.

The students made composite incrustations and were taught cases with a high level of difficulty, protocolizing cavity design, impression-taking, subgingival techniques, polishing and cementation of restorations.

And all of this in a pleasant and relaxed environment.

TALLERES DE COMPOSITE MODULO 2. RESTAURACIONES POSTERIORES DIRECTAS E INDIRECTAS

Los días 3 y 4 de Marzo impartimos el módulo segundo de la primera edición de composites. Los objetivos del curso fueron: Tener un conocimiento exhaustivo del momento de los adhesivos hoy en día, comentando el estado de la filosofía de los adhesivos y cementos autograbantes, practicar las técnicas de aislamiento absoluto con dique de goma, enseñar nuestra filosofía y protocolo en la realización de restauraciones directas y explicar paso a paso la realización de incrustaciones con composite en técnicas semidirectas e indirectas

Uno de los principales problemas que tenemos hoy en día en nuestras consultas está relacionado con el punto de contacto. Matrices y cuñas son herramientas imperfectas que originan anatomías proximales no acordes con la realidad. En el curso planteamos las distintas soluciones, trucos y tips para conseguir solventar estos inconvenientes

En el taller práctico enseñamos cómo realizamos un modelo con silicona para poder realizar técnicas indirectas. En D91 tenemos un protocolo con materiales que nos permiten una fidelidad de modelos sin prácticamente poros para poder trabajar con seguridad.

Los alumnos realizaron incrustaciones de composite y se enseñaron casos con dificultad elevada, protocolizando el diseño de cavidades, toma de impresiones, técnicas subgingivales, pulido y cementado de restauraciones

Y todo ello con un ambiente agradable y distendido.
